Dear Friends, In 2024, Friends of Pastorius Park (FoPP) proudly advanced our mission of preserving and enhancing the park’s remarkable tree collection and natural beauty.
Pastorius Park has been awarded a Level 1 Arboretum Accreditation by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program. This achievement was made possible by the efforts of Friends of Pastorius Park, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to environmental stewardship and preservation at Pastorius Park. The Park is also now recognized as an accredited arboretum in the Morton Register of Arboreta, a database of the world’s arboreta and gardens dedicated to woody plants.

Friends of Pastorius Park is saddened to share the loss of dear friend and revered Pastorius Park restoration advisor, Paul Meyer. This is a tragic and huge loss for not only FoPP, but the horticultural community across the world. Paul played an invaluable role in the recent restoration and future preservation planning of Pastorius Park. We are so grateful for the lasting contributions he made in our community. To honor Paul and continue his farsighted work at Pastorius Park, FoPP is dedicating our next major project in the park’s Northeast Woods to Paul, as a memorial to his passion for restoring our park. Now more than ever, we need your support to complete this major project.
