For the safety and enjoyment of all park-goers, please adhere to the rules, as required by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation.

General Park Information & Rules

Pastorius Park is NOT an off-leash dog park. There are no fenced in areas. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Owners must pick up after their pets. For the safety of your pet and consideration of all park-goers, please abide by these rules. The City of Philadelphia observes the right to ticket any park-goer who is found in violation.

Restrooms are available seasonally (spring to fall) at the Hut. Open from dawn to dusk.

Motor vehicles on park grounds are prohibited (excluding official and contractor vehicles).

Parking is available on the streets surrounding the park. There is no parking lot.

Swimming in the pond is prohibited.

Littering and dumping are prohibited.

Open fires are prohibited.

Fireworks are prohibited.

Do not cut down, damage, or remove any trees or plants in the park.

Weddings & Events

If you want to have a gathering of more than 50 people, you will need to get a special event permit from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation.

Absolutely no confetti or confetti 'poppers'. This is considered littering and the City of Philadelphia observes the right to ticket any park-goer who is found in violation.

Contact us prior to your event to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts (such as volunteer activity and/or scheduled maintenance).

Special events cause significant 'wear and tear' on the park. Please consider making a donation to the park to help us preserve its beauty.

Concerts

Contrary to popular belief, the beloved Summer Concert Series held at Pastorius Park is NOT organized by Friends of Pastorius Park. The Summer Concert Series is put on by the Chestnut Hill Community Association. All inquires and feedback should be directed to: info@chestnuthill.org
